The original Crash de Cartier was created in 1967. It captures the unmistakable atmosphere of London in the Swinging Sixties and perfectly blends with the artistic culture that pulsed through Britain’s capital at the time. The Crash was not made in Paris, its home is in the heart of the UK. The original look and its resemblance to Salvador Dali’s surrealist drawing The Persistence of Memory, which is not entirely coincidental, catapulted it to the forefront as the enfant terrible of the watchmaking world.
