Drive de Cartier
Not a square nor a circle, but still Cartier. This model line, launched in 2016, is intended solely for men. For those who are not afraid to floor it, to stray from the beaten track and who never stay in one place for long. The watch has a convex glass, a cushion shape and a distinctive guilloche decorated dial. It is characterised by the same rules set by icons from the past – the Tank and the Santos. The task for the design team was clear: to preserve the Roman numerals with Cartier’s secret signature, blue hands, a gem in the crown and the shaded inner frame on the dial.
The watch, which also comes with a black dial, not such a commonplace for Maison Cartier, is 38 × 39 mm and made in both steel and gold. It is ingeniously supplemented by a number of watch complications, such as the date, a second time zone, the phase of the moon or even a tourbillon.

Something more…
Although it is one of the brand’s latest feats, this watch’s look is inspired by the popular range of vintage timepieces for motorists.Louis Cartier, who is a founding father of the wristwatch era, was also one of the first drivers in Paris, and he had a lifelong fascination with fast machines, including airplanes and motorcycles. He would certainly be proud of the Drive collection.
