Luminor
The Luminor collection was first introduced in 1947 and Luminor watches have since become one of the brand’s most sought-after timepieces. It may possibly be due to the selection of case sizes available, ranging from 40 to 50 mm, its distinctive crown-protecting cover, the emblematic slim indexes and the Arabic numerals at the cardinal positions. The Luminor collection also includes a model with the winding crown on the opposite side, the manufacture’s nod to its customers who wear the watch on their right hand. The Luminor collection is an embodiment of Panerai’s successful journey to become a truly global brand. The most popular model in the Luminor collection is the Luminor Marina, with a small seconds hand subdial at 9 o’ clock.

Panerai is one of the main sponsors of the prestigious Panerai Classic Yachts Challenge and has brought out several special editions of yachting watches within its Luminor collection.Several years ago, Panerai bought the Eilean yacht, which was built in 1936 – the very same year the prototype of the first Panerai Radiomir was manufactured. They then went on to have it painstakingly restored to its original stunning beauty.
