Launched in 2014, this collection links up to Baume & Mercier’s longstanding tradition of highly desired ladies watches which the manufacture has been producing for over a century. This renowned Swiss brand sees watches for women as so much more than just a smaller version of male models. Its designers have always created original designs imbued with a personal spirit.
Promesse (French for promise) is an assurance of purely feminine lines complemented, in most cases, with delicate diamond embellishments. We find the collection’s source of inspiration in the brand’s logo depicting the Greek letter Phi which also stands for the golden ratio – or, in other words, a perfect equilibrium of proportions. Equally flawless is the slightly rounded model featuring a wonderfully refined oval case that comes in various sizes. Straps are available in a variety of colours, but it can also be paired with a slinky steel bracelet evoking snake skin, making the watch look absolutely irresistible.

At its presentation in New York, the enthralling collection was not the only star in attendance, there was also Canadian actress Jessica Paré, who you may know from the famous Madmen series. Much like her, the Promesse watch is elegant, timeless and soulful.
Collection highlight
The mesmeric Promesse 10347 exudes pure chic as it shows a silver moon going through its phases against a black night sky on its large lunar display. Accompanying the moon on its endless journey, is the sparkle of four exquisite diamond indexes. Two radiant crescents paved with diamonds face each other on either side of the bezel illuminating the midnight blue dial which gets darker towards the rim. Running inside the 34-mm case is a Swiss quartz movement. Women immediately fall for this watch which makes a striking presence to all around.
