Watchmaker Kurt Klaus’s name is forever connected to IWC House: his sophisticated version of the perpetual calendar makes it easy to operate this royal complication showing the day, date and month, including shorter months and February. This reference with 44.2 mm gold case also shows the actual year in four digits in a small window located between 7 and 8 o’clock. The power reserve display was also fitted onto the silver-plated dial. This in-house automatic movement boasts a 7 days power reserve, which is a major advantage in perpetual calendar. The aesthetics of the timepiece is brought to perfection with a moon phase subdial. The movement, equipped with IWC’s automatic Pellaton winding system, can be observed through the sapphire-glass back.
