Ronde Louis Cartier
There is a long story behind the creation of this modern collection, one that dates back to 1937. The round watch with an elegant design bears a typically “Cartier” signature. The distinctive Roman numerals conceal the secret Cartier emblem, an inscription which is part of the letter V forming the number seven. The dial shines as soon as it is in contact with daylight, the beautiful guilloche completes the overall impression of utter luxury. What’s more, it has a beaded crown set with a sapphire cabochon and a round minute scale reminiscent of a railway track and sleepers.
The 24-hour scale is more or less decorative, as the watch does not indicate a second time zone. Those models with a diamond bezel or the decorated timepieces with a brilliant set dial have a diamond in the crown. Smaller models are fitted with a quartz movement, whilst the larger models have mechanical ones.
